I come to 1Golf Travel and Tours through a long and winding road. With stops in Professional Hockey, in the NHL, Professional Golf,
as a Club Pro and mini tour player, and Pro Fishing, as a tackle designer/manufacture. That final stop is where I find myself today.
Now working on my own designs and putting out my own line of lures for the 2010 season. I bring a unique perspective to the company,
in that I have seen this industry from all angles. I've managed Hotels, nightclubs, and Restaurants. I was a Golf Pro and all that entails,
including club repair, Organizing and Operating Major Golf Events, and standing behind the counter selling Golf Shirts.
There isn't much I haven't seen in the travel business, except the "TRAVEL BUSINESS", and so here I am!!
I look forward to the many challenges ahead, but also know that we will certainly have fun along the way. The list of courses
I've played is a very long one but I do have a short list of favourites though. Pine Valley, yes, "THE" Pine Valley. Rated#1 in the World.
Now I know why! Merion East, yep the Merion East. Home to the famous Ben Hogan one iron shot on the 72nd hole of the 1950 U.S. Open,
and also the site of Bobby Jones' U.S. Amateur win to complete the Grand Slam in 1930. I was also fortunate enough to play Interlachen C.C.,
in Edina, Minnesota. That was the course in 1930 that Bobby Jones won the U.S. Open, on his way to that same 1930 Grand Slam.
Doral's Blue monster was a real treat to play, not once, but several times. Torrey Pines North and South Courses are both favourites of mine.
So my golf travels are long, storied , and all enjoyable. Don't get me started on fishing!
There isn't enough room on the site for all those stories. If a picture is worth a thousand words, then here's all I need to say bout fishin'.
